Hello team! Does anybody have a recipe for strawberry frosting? Today is Jeff's happy 30th and he'd like strawberry frosting on his cake. Funny that it'll be pink. I just can't bring myself to buy the canned stuff. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!
You can add 1 1/2 t. Imitation Strawberry Extract to 2 cups vanilla frosting . . . and probably add some pink/red food coloring too. (The Strawberry Extract is the same stuff used in the crepe strawberry sauce.) Happy Birthday Jeff!!
Thanks for the idea Carol. As it turned out, the yellow cake I made didn't work (nothing I did today worked), so I ended up making a strawberry cake with vanilla frosting. It was fine. Not great, but fine. I should get some strawberry extract though. I think Jeff would love it in just about anything!
Jeff had a birthday! Congrats. Go for strawberry nesquick in vanilla frosting. Not that I've ever tried it - but hey - you never know. Good luck with the b-day festivities.
